Although I am feeling a bit lazy lately, I have started working on the upcoming Dol Ammad EP and things are progressing smoothly :P I really hope we can make it for a summer release.

Check out an interview I did for Israel’s Metalist magazine here:

Wrapping up my experience in the Frankfurt Musikmesse I would like to salute and present some good friends I met there.

First off I was very eager to finally meet my dear friend Heidi Krueger in person! Heidi and I are communicating through emails for a very long time and has always been a source of positive energy and help. It was great to see you Heidi and I hope we’ll meet again soon!

Next up the great Christof Niederwieser from the company Hohner, the website Avantgarde-Metal and the bands Korovakill and Angizia, was there to heartily welcome me and Harry! Christof has been very supportive of my music and it was awesome to meet him in person, I hope we’ll do it again soon my friend!

It was also great to meet the inspirational synth programmer Rob Papen who has created the soft synths Albino, Predator, RG and more. His sounds have always been a great source of new ideas and it was an honor to give him my albums and discuss music matters.

My good friend and amazing guitarist Gus G was also at the Musikmesse giving some killer performances. Thanx for that VERY interesting coffee Kostas :P

Another cool guitarist who has been very supportive in the past was Alex Beydrot of Silent Force. Cheers Alex!

Summing it up the show was a memorable experience. Let’s hope we can make it again next year too! Cheers from Thanasis and Harry :P

Back from the Messe and our head is a .... mess! It was our first time of visiting such a HUGE exhibition, we are amazed from all the exhibitors and events we witnessed and even more from our great friends that we met along the way!

We discovered and explored lots of new synthesizers and technologies and I would like to thank Harry for his patience since I couldn’t keep my fat greasy fingers away from all those knobs and blinking lights... like a moth to a flame...

I was particularly drawn to the Massive Analogue Modular Synthesizer of “Club of the Knobs”:

The out-of-this-world amazing (...and equally expensive) Euphonix Consoles:

The revolutionary analog step sequencer Octopus from GenoQs (which will definitely be mine in the future...) :

And the quirky Tenori-On from Yamaha and KaossPad 3 from Korg:

With more than 2.000 exhibitors and 111.000 visitors from 125 countries, the Musikmesse is a sensational event that every musician and tech-freak should experience.

I will update the site with more info regarding the friends we met in the fair. Until then here is the link of my photostream in Flickr to check more pics :

Me and my good friend Harry Kalogirou have arranged a trip to the Frankfurt MusikMesse the next days! The Musikmesse is the biggest European music instrument and technology trade fair held for more than 25 years in Frankfurt, Germany. The Musikmesse of 2009 is held from 1 to 4 of this April and we will be there checking the cool new stuff of the music world. Lets hope that I have enough money to return and not spend it in a deposit for some new omg-look-at-all-those-blinking-lights-I-want-it-so-much synthesizer....

Harry Kalogirou, also known as “Harkal” is, for those who don’t know him, the creator of the Dol Theeta - “Goddess” Video Clip and also the developer of the amazing shop in this site. What you surely don’t know though, and I am really honored to announce, is that Harry is taking over the design and development of this website from now on! Harry is planning a complete overhaul of the internet presence of my music into something more functional and direct than our current website. I really can’t wait :P
